The name, Patagonia, has become synonymous with quality products and environmental stewardship. This now iconic brand has always accepted Patagonia products back for recycling but they also have a website where you can trade, sell and buy second-hand Patagonia products.

Patagonia began by hosting ‘Worn Wear’ pop-up events. These pop-up events encouraged customers to bring their used Patagonia items to be repaired or exchanged. The events were so popular that the company created an online version of it.

You can now visit Patagonia’s Worn Wear site and buy used and vintage Patagonia products.

From the website:

“Worn Wear celebrates the stories we wear, keeps your gear in action longer through repair and reuse, and recycles your garments when they’re beyond repair.

“The single best thing we can do for the planet is keep our gear in use longer and cut down on consumption.”

Here’s how it works:

Trade your unused products

Patagonia accepts used Patagonia gear that is functioning and still in good condition. Bring clothing to them and they will give you a credit to use in Patagonia retail stores, on WornWear.com and Patagonia.com.Patagonia’s Worn Wear

Repair

If it’s broke, fix it. The Worn Wear site has instructions on how to keep your Patagonia gear in great repair and how to fix things if they need it.

From the website: “One of the most responsible things we can do as a company is to make high-quality stuff that lasts for years and can be repaired, so you don’t have to buy more of it.”
