3 Easy Tips for Packing Waste-Free Lunches

We know packing lunch for work or school can be tedious, but it can help reduce waste!
By eating out or ordering takeout you are creating waste from things like; to-go containers, straws, plastic bags, single-use cutlery, etc. Go waste-free and pack your own lunches! The planet will appreciate it and so will your wallet!

  1. Pack food that has its own container. For example, apples, oranges, grapes, cherries, bananas and other fruits can be packed without an additional container.
  2. Invest in a good quality reusable lunch box.  A good lunch bag will last for years.
  3. Think reusable for utensils, containers, napkins, etc. Pack stainless-steel forks and spoons, cloth napkins, reusable containers and reusable drink containers.
